'Mistake' Cut T&T Thunderegg with Amazing Ghostly Core

A cut that missed the centre of the core. Might be called a mistake if it wasn't for the rather extraordinary image that the resulting window displays. The agate is quite clear, and deep inside it you can see a large fragment of matrix, a small quartz centre and best of all, a little funnel of leveling lines. The picture barely shows any of this alas and when you can turn the stone in your hand it is almost like looking at a hologram for some reason. Of all the many stones on my shelf, this little one is the one that my eye tends to find as i walk past.
