Warm Springs - General Locations

Warm Springs is an interesting area. On an indian reservation, it was out of reach of non-native-American collectors for a long time and had achieved an almost legendary status. That changed rather with the arrival on the scene of Elke Littleleaf Kirk, who brought a large amount of these eggs onto the market again. They are varied and it is clear that there are a lot of different beds and geologies. They are often brittle, incomplete and have complex shapes. They fall roughly into two groups - the Happy Valley area stones and the Mutton Mountain Area stones. However, many remain unclassified and those are collected here.
