Frieda Bed Thundereggs

A not uncommon thunderegg characterized by a dark reddish matrix and agate ranging from gray to blue. They are often free-form and the matrix has a tendency towards brittle and going missing entirely. The quality can sometimes be extremely good, with green moss, mineralisation, dark gray Xenoliths, squashed or imploded shapes and waterlines. These are not far from the Warm Springs Indian Reservation (you can see the resemblance) - on the Deschutes river, north of Madras, and the location may be closed.
